i bought a master lock the combonation one.. a few years back.. i lost the key and dont remember the combo. any ideas on how to get it open

If it's locking something that you need to open, then either bolt cutters or a hack saw.

If not, then just buy a new one. It's not worth all the time and effort when you can just spend $5 for a new lock.

Ya go by a locksmith if you can't part with it or better yet go find a coach of a P.E. class and see if he has a master key for your lock. there is a code on the back that will also translate to the combo if you have the right book.

Take a pop can and cut two strips with short ears wrap them around the bail and work into lock with a side to side motion this will trip hasp and allow it to open. Look at Lockpicks.com they sell padlock openers under lock by pass devices you can copy that design you'll get the idea.

check out metacafe.com they have a video of how to figure combination... it will still take a few minutes but hey if youwant to give it a try... search master lock then how to crack a combination lock
