I am 33 weeks pregnant and I have been having a sharp pain in my vagina since Saturday and today is monday. I slept today for about 30 min. the pain went away for about 2-3 hrs and came back. Should I go to er or wait and call my doctor in the morning. The pain feels like someone stabbing me with a knife really fast. If I am standing I feel like I can fall to my knees.

Unless you are bleeding or having uterine cramps, it will probably be safe to wait until the am. It sounds to me like a pinched nerve or possibly a pulled muscle. But if you have any doubt, or the pain worsens, or you have any bleeding-head to the er immediately.

I get these sharp pains (I have 3 and one on the way) and even though for me they have meant dilation they didn't mean labor. It could be labor, but it could just be your body getting ready. If it makes you feel better go to ER otherwise just call your DR and see what they say. They may want you to come in.

If you have any concerns you should call your doctor right away, but there are many discomforts that come with being pregnant. I used to have the same kinds of pains but not in my vaginal area, but in the rectum. Very painful, I just had to sit different ways, because of the nerves that were being irritated.

All sorts of answers are already made..... There could be a possibility of urinary track infection also. This is common during pregnancy. You need to keep the area clean and also your closets. Better use disinfectants daily to the closet, before using the toilets.

Go see a doctor and or wait till your next appointment. But if you are really in pain see a doctor right away.

talk to your Dr or mid-wife even if you talk on the phone. don't ignore it or you could be in a bit of a situation by tonight A simple phone call away.

i would call your doc just to make sure but its probly fine.if resting makes it better then its your body telling you something.i have had sharp pains down there too on occassion but they arent canstant.call your doc thats what you pay him for
