this may sound odd, but bread. Not regular sandwich bread, but dinner rolls, or fresh baked loaves of Italian bread...unfortunately I could eat a whole loaf when I'm extremely down

A bar of chocolate, (a milky one is preferable) which makes me feel really comfortable & contented, especially after a long & tired day. But I always watch out for the amount that I consume, as comfort food always make us put on weight easily.
