Leftovers.
I also cook abalone REALLY well, but it is hard to get, so.....yeah, leftovers. OR, maybe a prime rib now and then. But.....well, you know..
ABALONE:
Go diving, no tanks allowed.(hold your breath)
Get 3 abalone (legal limit)
Clean (details left out)
Slice into 1/4" steaks
Pound both sides of each steak until very thin, but not until falling apart
Coat with flour
Dip in and egg/milk mixture
Coat with seasoned bread crumbs (Contadina works best)
Fry in a little olive oil VERY HOT about 40 seconds each side.
Layer on paper towels in warm oven until all abalone is done.
Melt butter in pan
Loaf of sliced sourdough french bread
A GREAT white wine
Dip french bread in butter
Put abalone on top.
Bite it, chew and swallow
Wash down with liberal amounts of wine
Repeat.

My Italian marinara sauce! with angel hair pasta. I put wine in the pan to get up the juices from cooking the meatballs, before adding fresh ingredients. It is best the next day.

I don't cook much like I did in the past because I live alone, and it is difficult to cook for just one person. I've learned crockpot meals as a result...I love to come home and smell my dinner ready to eat!!

tacos. I start out by browning the hamburger, then I drain the hamburger, then I put it back in the pan, then I mix in the water, and the taco seasoning, stir it for about 5 to 10 minutes and voila it is done.
