I am always making lists of some kind such as "things to do today", "songs to download", "gift ideas", "things i need", "things i want", "cute outfits", "things that need to get done this week", etc. What does it mean when you are always writing lists?

It means that's how you organize your life. So what if you need a list to keep track of your lists.. If it works for you, don't worry about it! Maybe you're just a very visual person and need to see the list in order to remember anything. I know that is how I am!

Your afraid you'll forget, I do the same thing. But I think I'm afraid of being yelled at,because when I was young I was always told I never remember anything. So I don't want to hear that so I write down, Shopping lists,Cleaning lists.Things to do lists, and sometimes I forget to bring the list.

I bet you're also neat and tidy and your room is never a mess
I think it has to do with you being organised ... you don't like to forget to do something and you need your life to be thought out planned and balanced .... enjoy it while you can ... Life has a way of sneaking up on you and biting you on the butt ... then it won't matter how many lists you have .. you'll have to take steps to try and ease the pain of that bite
Good Luck :)

The need to write lists all the time may be from a need that you have to find order in your life, to feel more organized. It may help you feel secure.

there is nothing wrong with making list. most times its to help us remeber what it is that we have to do. i am a very forgetful person so i have to make lists to help me to remeber the small things that can tend to get pushed off to the side. it just says that you are a very organized person. and thats always a good thing

Possilbly, you are just a very organized person. I think that is an attribute for any person. If it gets to be obsessive to the point that it truly interrupts your life then it is a problem. There are certainly far worse problems.

If you think something horrible is going to happen if you don't make a list....like your mama is going to die, or the world is going to blow up....then you might be OCD. Otherwise, you might be organized or just bored.
