The Wii supports three cables: composite (yellow), s-video (black) and component (red, green, blue). These are listed in quality from low to high. If your TV has component inputs, then use these for the best video quality. Just to warn you, typically only HDTV's have component inputs. Most tube TV's will have either only composite or composite and s-video.

There are no longer any distinction between the two. the two are for video in basic terms and would possibly no longer carry the audio sign. you will could use optical or coax cable for the audio sign (digital) and rca for analog sign. To get video and audio sign you will desire an HDMI cable. Video sign at first replaced into performed by making use of rca jacks then upgraded to S-Video, factor or composite and now HDMI (yet with audio sign). finding on how previous your device is, will dectate what style of hook up is accessible.

the svideo sucks, if you have a compatible tv use the red green blue, also known as component video cables, not sure what the specs are but in my opinion you will get a much better quality with those rather than the svideo
