I LOVE JULIE ANDREWS!!!

favorite movies? Marry Poppins! Sound of Music! Princess Diaries (she and Hector Elizondo are PERFECT together!!Talk about chemistry!)! Princess Diaries 2! Shrek 2! She was good in Victor/Victoria but I didn't like the movie very much. Torn Curtain! One Special Night!! Thoroughly Modern Millie!!

Oh my word! need I say more? .....I shall...

I just bought one of her books "Dragon: Hound of honor" and it is wonderful so far! It's funny, intriguing, a little sad at certain points and very VERY well written!

Favorite moments? Sure thing...
I loved it when Dame Andrews denied the Tony Award nomination in order to stand by the ensemble who preformed with her and who, as Julie said in interviews and such, "where far too often over looked". This is where you can find a short video clip of her turning down the offer...

You have to have respect for someone like that. And I do, I have a profound sense of respect for Dame Julie Andrews Edwards.

It's going to be a wonderful scrapbook, I'm convinced.

There is simply no other performer like Julie Andrews and for those who have only seen her in her "Goody-Goody" roles, films like Victor/Victoria proved she could be much, much more than a novice in a convent...thank God! There is nothing Julie Andrews cannot do and very little she hasn't done, in fact. She is at ease in Drama, Comedy, Musicals and even film Biographies like "Star" are roles she just devours like a welcome and timely snack! She is fabulous...and as we witnessed in Victor/Victoria very sexy, very leggy and very beautiful! She sings, she dances, she acts, she has impeccable comedic timing and is an all around fine human being to boot! That's as close to perfection as it gets and she is the genuine article. Is there anything, even remotely, phony or superficial about this woman? Nope! In fact, I've never...and not through all the years, ever heard anything detrimental about her! In Hollywood, that is high praise, indeed! The fact is, Julie Andrews is incomparable. Her voice is so beloved that once having heard it, it is never to be forgotten. What she brings to a song is not only a combination of notes that are impeccably executed...she tells us a story that is complete from beginning to end. There is simply no one like her...never was, really...and probably never will be! Oh...I had almost forgotten...she writes children's stories as well...beautifully illustrated and published, LOL!

She is awesome, I'm glad many of you agree! I have no favorite movie or moment because their all, great! (Although Mary Poppins is pretty awesome, I mean, come on, the world needs a nanny like that) but I mean, it's funny I saw this question because I have literally this weekend, gone on a Julie Andrews Marathon, (The Sound of Music, Princess Diaries, Mary Poppins...) Anyway, if you haven't heard Julie and Carol Brunett's "Mama's Rap" you need to see it, it's hilarious. Anyway, she truly is, "Practically Perfect In Every Way"

I used to hate Julie Andrews, she was too goody-goody. I hated Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music... until I saw The Princess Dairies. I reevaluated my whole thought and reviewed all movies I could get my fat little hands on and I fell in love with her. (I'm still glad Audrey Hepburn played Eliza on the big screen, though)

Mary Poppins by far!! I really liked the part with her and Bert in the chalk painting when he sings the song about all the other girls and she starts looking offended. It's so cute!!

All I know is that I was shocked when she got naked in the movie S.O.B.

Who's the schmuck who gave me a thumbs down? Did I spoil your image of her, or are you just unwilling to admit she was topless in a movie???
