whats a good laptop but not too pricy?

i need it for school and to download music,thats about all i'll use it for. i was thinking of dell,are their laptops good?i mean i want cheap but i dont want it to break after a few months

dell makes good, stable computers for their prices. especially if your only using it for music/typing papers you dont need a huge amount of processing power. i would go with a dell..theyre a good computer for a low budget
