why are guys so fascinated by pornography and not girls? or do girls find it attractive it seems like it would affect both genders, also i hear romance novels activate the same thing in girls as pornography does for guys is this true? why so? are they attracted to pornography also?

I'm female, and I love pr0n.
I know some women just skip to the "good parts" of romance novels. In my eyes, romance novels are a socially acceptable version of softcore pornography, but a lot of readers would disagree.
I think a lot more women watch pornography than are willing to admit. Also, some women do feel that pornography objectifies women. I disagree, but that's another issue.
Why are guys attracted to pornography? That, I have no idea. I imagine for the same reasons I am. It's a fantasy situation that provides an opportunity to be sexually aroused.

Everyone has their own preference. I saw a commercial for Guy's Gone Wild the other day... I guess for girls that like that kind of thing can get it. I'm sure there are girls that like porn just as much as the guys, but would probably prefer to look at a naked guy rather than a naked girl. It's like guys looking at other guys when watching porn... don't think they would usually unless they're gay (no offense or anything). It'd be the same with girls. They'd rather see a guy than a girl because they are girls and see the same thing whenever they take a shower or get dressed/undressed.
It's the same fascination the other way around too because girls don't have what guy's have.

Pornography is is just geared more towards guys, most girls aren't that turned on by watching a guy *** on another girl's face. Romance novels are geared more toward girls because they try to fulfill their fantasy of being appreciated.
I'll take more female geared porn over a romance novel any day, romance novels are just too cheesy.

men are from venus, women are from mars. Men tend to be more stimulated by visuals, women tend to be more stimulated by emotions. Of course there is cross over, and any generilization is vague at best. Then you throw in the generations of "training" by society, and it just is not as acceptable for a woman to be turned on by pornography. A woman has to be very comfortable with a man to admit that she does enjoy pornography

Well there are ALOT of women interested in porn. Most women like to keep their perverted fantasies a secret whereas alot of men put their thoughts out in the open. Alot of women like to fantasize their sexual fantasies in romance novels where usually the ideal "perfect man" exists. Women like to secretly roleplay and lose themselves in romance novels in their own litle fantasy land in a sense whereas men just sort of "tell it like it is" and just look up the porn straight up without sugar coating the fact that their sexual desires are being quenched. I know this because most of my friends read the little romance novels and tell me how thye make them feel. Well in alot of cases, like I said, men and women both look up porn but more men than women. Alot of women like to seem like they have no sexual desires whereas men are just blunt about it. Yeah I'm young(16) and I've never experienced sex but I know how people act. lol That's the power of knowledge. I'm very observant. lol

Guys are physical and girls are emotional. Porn provides guys with the visual stimulation and romance novels provide girls with the emotional stimulation they enjoy. This is why guys love strip clubs and girls like Sunday Night Movies!

i think it some girls are just a fascinated by porn just as much as guys, some are not...but i agree with the first answer too....most guys are mostly physical and most girls are emotional...it can go either way

Girls have been driven to stererotypes. Girls are supposed to be innocent and dainty while guys are supposed to be rough and gross. But inside girls and guys are very much alike.
