It's up to you really, but I know I wouldn't ;)
The human body is not made to be sleeping during daytime --we're not bats or anything lol -- and I couldn't possibly get used to it. Plus when do you get to see your family and friends in all of this...
Most people working night shifts end up working all night and doing all kinds of stuff (i.g shopping, going to the movies) during the day... They think they have more time that way, but really they're cutting on the sleep hours...
If you think you can handle it, go ahead, it could be a fun experience... Good luck honey ;)

Well does this company have day shift work that you may be able to have later once you get into the company? If so, it may be worth it to work the night shift for a few months and try to move into different shifts. If not decide if the money is worth it. You can always take it for money reasons and then keep looking for jobs. Once you find one that you like and pays well you can always leave the new one but all the while be making better money while youre looking.

Depends on the job? You didn't say if it's going to help your career or not. And if it's just to make money but it won't look good on your resume then forget it. Money isn't everything. I would go to night school instead and upgrade your skills. Grave yard jobs are not good for your mind or body unless you absolutely love the job. So once again work during the day with your old job and take night classes where it can help you to specialize in something. Good luck

I wouldn't take the night shift because I was like a zombie or more like dracula. Even after I quit for a long time I couldn't sleep normally. Something will come along that won't sacrifice sleep and you will get good pay. Just keep looking and don't give up.

I would take the job if it pays more. You may just have to stick it out until the new company offers a better shift for you. At least you would have your foot in the door, and making more money. However, it will be very tuff at first.Hang in there, and good luck.:)

Try it out. If you don't have a family that will keep you awake all day - don't worry. Give it a try. After a while you can ask to be moved to the day-shift.
You really get used quickly to the night and day thing, after a while. I did night shifts and I did like it.

i would wait. Night shift sucks. You will have no life outside of work because during the day all you will wanna do is sleep and at night you will be working.

It's not for everyone.
I work at a 24/7 plant, first shift. The third shift folks love it. When they wake up, they have their days to themselves.
It will take a little while for your body clock to adjust, but go for it. It's more money and you may love the shift.

only if your willing to completely alter your lifestyle....it means sleeping during the daylight....waking up when its dark in the winter and not really having much of a social life! Plus it takes a couple of months for your body to completely adjust so be prepared for you to be EXTREMELY grouchy a month into the new job!

It's not for everyone, but I liked it. You adjust and it's really cool to have your days free. I found I could sleep a few hours in the morning and evening and was fine.
