Is it too late for you to be in the next olympics? Perhaps. Too late for you to benefit from it? Not at all.
I was into gymnastics when i was a kid and I still feel the benefit of those years. At 40 yrs old I think I am a lot more flexible and fit than others I know and I think gymnastics (and yoga) have a lot to do with that. I also think that flexibility is the key to a long and happy life.
Peace!

If it's something you love, then it's never too late to start. Your chances are decreased of like going pro and making that your profession, but if you work really hard at it and you love doing it, anything can happen. I'm assuming you mean just to do it for fun though, and I have no doubt that there are groups of 12 year olds that you can be a part of... just do a little research on it. I'm a little bit older than you and I started taking up piano again, and (not to brag) but just a few weeks and I already know quite a few songs. So just work hard, practice often, and keep your love of the sport going, and you will go as far as your dreams can take you.

It's never too late to start. I kind of wish I hadn't done gymnastics so early I started when I was 3 and got bored with it before I did a ton. Go for it you'll have fun I'm sure!

It's not too late, but it will just be harder and take longer to learn gymnastics compared to the kids who are smaller in age than you. Your muscles will tighten up faster and not be as flexible and easy to bend, but if you try hard and really focus and work on it, you will be able to do gymnastics supposingly. I hope you do get to do what you want. Good luck!

definately not and I would strongly recommend it. It all depends on your dedication regardless of age or weight. Gymnastics is a very good sport to join because it builds up strenght and flexibility which makes aging so much easier. go for it.
