What is a demon - I have spoken to people who have experienced very bad hings. Why do they choose to pick on people and what does a demon gain by causing bad things to happen to people? What causes a demon to be neara certain person.

Ok, first things first, you must understand the different between a Demon and a Fallen Angel. A Demon is a spirit born of the fires of evil. A Fallen Angel is a spirit that was once in the land of grace but fell into the pit of evil. And many things can bring a Demon to the mortal plane. Having a large amount of constant negative energy in a single area for an extended period of time can cause one to find its way out of the Abyss. They can also be summoned through rituals and incantations. Most of these summonings are done by amatuers though and go wrong, often resulting in someone becoming the host for the demon.

Demons do not exist. They are just a creation of our thoughts. Have any of you ever seen a demon? I haven't but I do fear certain things that are just created by my imagination. I do believe in Angels, ghosts, and spirits, but the only demons that do exist are the ones inside ourselves. Society has always tried to blame someone or something else to explain their tragedies. I only believe there are evil people. What is worse than human beings? Think about the pain and evil human beings have caused.

Will all you people stop drinking or doing drugs! Demons do not exist......except in human form! when is the last time you saw a demon shopping at Tesco or on the bus!! The only demons are in the heads of the truly stupid and gullible! Bush and Blair are more demonic!

A demon is a fallen angel that rejects God. It is my opinion that the reason for the rejection is that angels are considered superior creatures than humans. Yet, God made mankind in his image. Not even the angels have this honor of being created in the image of the Holy Trinity.
Essence of man: Mind, Body, & Soul.
Essence of God: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.
If you can imagine a creature which feeds off of emotions and actions of people. An angel would thrive off of virtuous acts like courouge, love, self-sacrifice, patience, fasting etc. While demons thrive off of of our vices: cowardice, hatred, lust, envy, gluttony, selfishness, etc.
I personally have seen a face of a demon when I strained to see a person right in front of me. What is scary is, at that same moment, that person saw a demon's face when looking at me. It was a terrifying moment for us both. People may not believe in demons but I know from personal experience they do exist!

When you say people often mention demons in conversation, that can also reference to, anything that bothers you, and won't get off you're back.
Cigarettes could be you're demon, coffee, to some extent, alchohol, sex addictions.
See, in a sense they could be demons. Don't know they are, but letting all these things have power over us, is somewhere we have slipped up! And now we are allowing evil in.
Evil does exist in the world, that's for sure! We don't have to keep slipping up, though.

I am Pagan.
And i have also heard talk on demons etc.
I personally dont beleive in demons.. i guess because i havent seen any..
Ghosts i have seen and heard.
I like to believe in the goodness around me rather than the evil in the world.

Yes , they exists, when Lucifer was cast out of heaven a third of the host of angels followed him.Because they were all in sin they lost their original beauty and became demonic entities.
They appear in various form and their sole purposes is to tempt us , tricks us and deceive us .
They are called lie, lust, unbelief, violence, murder....not that they are the one causing us to do those things but they can encourage us to act upon them..
they may appear as ghosts of relatives(therefore makes you believe of afterlife outside God) or drive bad people to enticed you into sinning...
they may appear as handsome boyfriend or pretty girlfriend keeping you to hear the word of God, driving you into dangerous situations, pushing you to experience new things that pleases your senses( drugs, smoking, alcohol...).
They even can appear as aliens in spaceship making you believe that there's something out there, outside God.
They do pick on people because they want us to be preoccupied by the problems that surround us than focusing on God.
One thing i ve noticed since i became a christian, i had more demonic attacks than when i was muslim and doing my thing.
The closer you come to the truth, the more attacks you face.
Sometimes is the things that we expose ourselves( anything that is not of God or not in the Bible) to that causes demons to come near us. Its like opening a door to those attacks.

yes hun there are demons they are the dammed castdown angels they are there to torment people with faith ceep them down make them unbelievable a cind of demonic discreaditer squad ever find it hard to belieeve someone because you find them tence or twitchy or they ceep leaveing the point there are things that wittle away peoples strenght and helth but the throught about them is there not as strong as any liveing person we,v the ability to ask help of god `and his prommice wel always get it
