My first ultrasound was during my first appointment. They did a vaginal ultrasound.
Congrats!

i first went to the doctor and i was 8 weeks pregnant. They did an ultrasound to make sure the baby had a heartbeat and to insure the due date. When they did that, my due date changed and i was really 9 weeks! The next ultrasound was at 20 weeks for the anatomy one which is when u can find out what you are having and if nothing is wrong the last one is date and size which is the one i just had! ask your doctor if they dont do the ultrasound, to have it done... good luck!!!

I got my first ultrasound last friday because by my lmp I should have been 6 weeks. I was only 4 weeks 5 days. I will get my next ultrasound on December 12th. the only reason I am getting an ultrasound so early is due to me being high risk. I have had 4 miscarriages. My insurance is covering the ultrasounds. Good luck!

When I had my first ultrasound I was 6 weeks and 2 days. I seen my baby heart beat for the first time, it was amazing to see. Some people have there ultrasound much later but I am high risk so they gave me one early and now I'm 34 weeks and 2 days and can't wait. Congrats on your baby I hope everything goes good and you feel the happiness I felt when I had my first ultrasound.

I have always had ultrasounds at my first visits between 6 and 8 weeks. If you are unsure about your first day of your last period, or if you have irregular cycles, your doctor will typically do an ultrasound early on to date the pregnancy and determine your due date. Otherwise, if there is no question about the first day of your last period and your cycle length, many doctors will wait until the 18-22 week mark.

I had my first at 10 weeks, and my second at 19 weeks (right around). Then I had another one when I was 9 days overdue.
I know that all doctors offices don't do things the same, but the two offices that I went to during my pregnancy each did the first ultrasound around the same time.
Congratulations!

It really depends on your insurance company and hospital. Typically in a non-complicated pregnancy you will receive your first ultrasound at 20 weeks. I got mine at 20 weeks. It's truly a great experience! If you don't get an ultrasound they may let you listen to the heartbeat which is amazing! Congratulations!

I'm 35 weeks now and I had my first ultrasound at right around 8 weeks. It really depends on your doctor though. Some (esp. general practitioners) don't do it unless they think something's wrong or untill 20 weeks (when they can determine the gender). Alot of ob/gyn's, like mine, do it as soon as 6-8 weeks to make sure of the number of babys and to more accurately determine how far along you really are.

I doubt they will at that appointment, but they may make you come in for one soon, to make sure of the due date. I got my first ultrasound when I was 12 weeks, I wasn't able to get to the doctor until I was 11 weeks to begin with. That one, they were just trying to figure out exactly how far along I was because the due date they were giving me wasn't correlating with how big the baby was, but then they did another one when I was 16 weeks, and that's when I found out the sex.

I got my first one done at what I thought was 10 weeks,(which is normal) But it turns out I was only 7 weeks. They did a vaginal by request. Usually I don't think that they do an ultrasound that early.
Congratulations!!

I had my first u/s with each of 3 pregnancies around 18 weeks or so. Typically unless there are issues or the dating of the pregnancy is off, ultrasounds are not normally done at this point.
Congratulations!
