No it isn't, if you feel as if you are protecting someone when no one else protects them it means that you are being manipulated due to feelings of guilt. If you feel as if you are being guilted into a relationship, it is time to ask yourself if you are better off with him or without him.

I am not sure what you mean by protecting someone, but I don't believe it is wrong to protect another. Especially those that need it mose.

Either doubt them or love them
and if you truly love you would surely protect, you won't have to ask anybody
