A- definitely Cool idea...

Allow the questioner to decide if there should be a second or third place... some questions really have only one best answer but there are many questions that have many good answers so it still may be hard to pick top 3 even,,,

Another idea is to give a point for each thumbs up (even if not chosen for best answer) and a minus 1 point for a thumbs down....

The trick is to find the best answers not the second best and the third best. Think about a math question like "2 + 2 = ?" Would you give 3 points for the person who said they add up to four and only 1 point for the person who said they add up to 6?
