Your Ipod is a MP3 player.Download Itunes and then move your files into Itunes..You do not need to covert the music. Itunes will make it easier to load onto your Ipod. If you need help on how to put files into Itunes...click file on the menue bar and move the folder into itunes. Plug in your ipod the computer and the rest is automatic.

You do not have to convert MP3's to put them on your ipod. Simply add them to your iTunes library and syncrhonise. And in response to Liz- do not convert them to wave format for that is uncompressed and would take up a lot of memory if you intend to have any decent quality. And iTunes (which comes with your ipod and can also be downloaded free) can be used to convert song files.

Easy! you can search online for a free audio converter! I use SC audio converter its totally for free and totally safe... any songs you have in MP3 format you can convert just a couple of clicks away!!! just google it. Then you should be able to drag and drop into your itunes. Just convert them to WAV files you can convert them back and forth! good luck!
