i think that you are forgetting that our president at the time, FDR, had some of the most liberal legislation in our nation's history passed while he was in office. Learn you history!

FDR was a traditional liberal. Without getting whatever belief system you have mixed into this, the traditional difference between liberals and conservatives was about spending (liberals want bigger budget and conservatives smaller). With all of FDR's social programs to pull us out of the depression he is definatly liberal in the traditional sense. All this changed with Reagan, who is often labeled as a conservative, but increased spending tremendously. Our current president Bush, can thus be called a Reagan-Conservative. As a matter of fact the most conservative president we have had in the last 25 years, was the only Democrat - Clinton, who balanced the budget.

As far as whether or not we would join WWII today, I think the chain of events would be exactly the same. Lest you forget the US did not enter the war until very late in 1941. WWII officially began in 1939, and Hitler started his campaign for reuniting traditional German homelands years before the invasion of Poland. So the entire world tried to appease Hitler for years before war and the US even longer.

Unbelievable. "your guy" attacks a dinky little country that has virtually no military to fight back and the U.S. has already been there longer than it was involved in WWII. How do you even have the gall to ask such a moronic question????

Why are you still here?

By the way, dont ever refer to a Regiment as a Division, the 1st Mar div alone encompasses the entire Camp Pendleton.
If you truly did enlist and you believe in what you are doing I salute you. You are about to learn a hard lesson. The Marine Corps is not a democracy.

I think you are autistic.

we would have a sit down with him and work out our differences. he is just having a cival war that happened to spread alittle bit.

and for you that says fdr was liberal. you need to learn your political history. FDR is rolling over in his grave with someone even trying to equate his beliefs and ideas with TODAYS LIBERALS.

They would say we need to talk to Adolph and see what the Jews have done to offend him. It would be all about appeasement.
