Can you execute a will for a family member without using a attorney?

My Mother needs to have my Father's will executed, but she doesn't have $2500.00 to pay to have it done.

Short answer Yes.. contact the clerk of courts... some States have a do it yourself format... you do not have to have a lawyer (u should, have a lawyer look everything over before you submit it to the courts (about $100.00-$500.00) for them to review your completed documents in this area.

Be careful though there are a lot of formalities involved which can make your will not stand up in court.
