The quest to find the one that's going to fill your life with love and happiness isn't done until your life is over. Maybe he/she is the potential Mr./Ms. Right. But maybe you're also giving yourself narrow options. You could only be seeing the road to heaven (him) but he is not heaven.

If the person is married or taken by another, then you it's not meant for you to be with them.
If the law prevents you from being with the person you have found, then pick somone else
If distance or religion is keeping you apart from the one you love either relocate or change your religion.
So what is really keeping you from being with the one you want to spend the rest of your life with?

well, first of all, you need more details, and is the reason that you and your true love want to spend the rest of your life together, one of these reasons:
family;
religious;
economic; or
some other reason?
And is that reason, a valid reason, a truly valid reason? not just a "because you can't" reason?
you need to look over all of this, and sit down with yours truly, and have a heart to heart discussion, about how much you love each other, and whether or not the two of you are going to do what it takes to get married.

I'm in love with someone who also says that he believes we are soul mates however the big man upstairs must have stuffed up to make us in the situation we are in.
We are seeing each other secretly because that's a lot better then not being together at all. But if it ever came out a lot of people would be hurt and we would both have to give up a lot. Him moreso then me.

god, i'm also exactly in that position. it hurts, and it's painful, and i guess all you can really do is keep yourself busy and away from that person.....in my situation, i would be hurting a lot of people to try and spend the rest of my life with "the 1" so i just can't and i have to move on. sorry hun...good luck

you have to learn to let go and move on same thing happened to me and he then got married he lives in another country even though we knew and know that we are meant to be together,you carry there memory inside of you and the good times you had together and try to find new happy times with someone else and in time you will

...because you're both in other relationships? I would say, just keep things where they are now. It's probably a better place than with your fantasy person anyway.
