I've never heard of such a ban, but I don't think it would be such a bad idea. They are promoting negative body imagining the same way tobacco ads are promoting smoking.

great idea. Actually, they are not banned from the countries as models. They are just banned from certain prestigious competitions. So young teenagers don't get to think the twiggy look is the best way to look.

i agree. its sending the wrong message to the youth. the ban will in a way let other girls who are starving themselves to be skinny know that this is a real problem that can result in their deaths. i think its a good idea! its okay to be skinny but TOO skinny is just sick. nothing should be more important than your health.

I think it's a great idea. I don't understand how some of those models even make it down the runway. They don't even look human!

I don't think anyone should be banned - in the 60's there was Twiggy - it will come back to normal size one day, too.

I think that it will do some good for those (and all) girls and women. They shouldn't be allowed to do harm to themselves in order to do a job, and they shouldn't be glorified for being sick. I applauded the change.
