Well, you know you have 2 really nice outfits. So therefore...you know what nice is. You just need to go out and get some more. One item at a time...start small. You'd be surprised how fast things can change.

Not dressing up isn't a problem. You should wear what makes you feel comfortable. If you don't like what you are wearing because you are doing it to cover yourself up just remember that you should be proud of yourself no matter what. What you see as a negative thing other people prolly won't even notice. If you want to dress up then save your money and get a nice pair of pants and a blouse that you can mix with your Non-dress up clothes so it will dress them up also. There is always a somewhere to meet in the middle. The most important thing is that YOU like how your dressed :)

i've read one of the answers above that u have "very low self-esteem"!
seriously what does self-esteem have to do with u not findng grooming all fun !
as for ur problem i'm not really good at the advice.. i'm going through sort of the same problem .. a depression phase and i'm feeling exactly like u.. but i'll tell u what u can do
hit the shops .. don't buy just try on different things on! be dare to try things u've never tried before .. see what looks chick on u
that's enough to change ur mood!
try to go out with ur friends too many days in a row ..when u do that u'll feel that u want to change the way u look, like putting some make up on wearing something new etc..
and plz oh plz don't say that ur not pretty .. u know u just have to put urself out there! that's it :)

You are who you are, and you should be proud of yourself regardless. I have two small children. When I was younger I was really into "looking good". Now I'm lucky if I ever get to look in a mirror... That's my life. I still enjoy it and feel pretty even in crappy clothes. But luckily I have a great husband who loves me regardless of how much makeup I put on each day.
If it really bothers you then buy some new clothes. But it seems like you need more confidence regardless of what you're wearing. You could also try to pinpoint the root of your problem. Is it that you've gained weight and can no longer fit into your clothes? Or are you just unhappy with your wardrobe? Whatever your problem may be then just try your best to correct it.

I'm the same I have one nice outfit but I make sure in Jeans & T I look good It is a matter of how you look at yourself I use to hate myself and would wear anything and be a dag but then i changed that [hard work - sorry]view by saying Im just as good as the next person changing the view is not just saying tho its gotta sink in and its hard I make sure what I wear is clean and neat my hair is combed and a smile on my face [even when i dont want to smile] One simple item that dressed up my jeans was a jacket i picked up at vinnies {$2] its white it really made a difference and oh make sure you have really pretty undies [reallly... yep] it makes a huge difference to how you feel i dont know why but it does

Sounds like you're doing good already. You may need to "dress up" to go to school or a job, or job hunting, etc., but the need to always have your hair primped up and wear makeup and wear glitzy clothing, etc., is the unhealthy thing to do. Yeah, some people, maybe a lot of people look down on you if you're not all "glitzed-up", but as long as your clean and keep yourself in good health / shape, well, that is enough as I see it. Now, if you begin to feel lonely because no one will "be your friend" and come around sort-of-thing, well, you might try dressing up a little to attract people in a friendly way, but, if you're doing fine as you are, well, stay that way. God Bless you.

Beauty comes in all shapes and forms. Just because you don't like to dress up doesn't make you ugly. Dressing up does help boost your spirits though.
Since the outfits in your closet don't fit, take a smaller step. Start with putting on some make up. Light blush and lip gloss can do wonders to brighten a face.
If finances allow, go shopping. Start with a nice shirt to go with your jeans and go from there.
Remember, to be truly beautiful, that beauty must shine from within.

You have very low self esteem....don;t worry about dressing up to please others or look good for others, look good for yourself, i only wear jeans and tee's and never feel dressed down, it is attitude, just wear the clothes you have and hold your head high smiling:)
