I have a Gem GM-170B Black 17" LCD Monitor that, for some odd reason, on rare occasion, does this strange pink-flickering thing, in which the color jumps to a more pinkish hue, then back to normal, then back. Then after awhile, it totally stops. I've not been able to find out what the cause is online, and I'm curious if anyone has any ideas as to what would cause this.

Thanks.

Wires and connections are all tight, too.

If your video plug is truly plugged in tight, and you haven't broken any wires in the cable...

I would guess that it is time to replace your monitor.

With Dell selling 17" LCDs for $159, I doubt you could fix the old one for that! They only had 70 left when I checked a few minutes ago. Click link below to drool...

ur monitor getting old & it is due for a tune up. Take it to a repair shop or u might prefer to buy a new one. Dust accumulation on printed circuit boards or a loose electrical connection could be causing intermitting signals. If ur mechanically inclined, u could do the internal cleaning urself. BETTER LEAVE IT TO THE PROS AND TAKE IT TO A REPAIR SHOP.

the placement isn't which include your computer screen. it really is flickering by way of three magnetic wave. might want to correctly be the different digital gadget is close to ur computer screen which include Speaker, Radio, music equipment, Or such ingredient. otherwise it will be flickering if there are any electric powered wirings or earthing hid in ur walls close to computer screen. attempt taking all electric powered and digital contraptions remote from ur computer screen, Ot else attempt protecting ur pc in different room.
