I know there is software out there but i'm broke and don't wanna have to pay for it. :)

You can try putting the floppy disk in, open up my computer, right click on the floppy drive, and select properties, tools, and then do a disk error check. If that doesn't work you're SOL.
Words of advice: Get rid of floppies! They fail and don't hold nearly as much as a CD or Flash drive (thumb drive, dongle, whatever you want to call it)

No way copying archives is going to un-format a disk. See if the disk works in a various pc floppy disk. If it does the disk is solid. you may would desire to bathe yourchronic. If it would not artwork on a diversechronic the disk would have have been given corrupted. solid difficulty you copied the archives.

Sorry, this is the worst situation to be in, your going to have to shell out the money for the software.
