Hiro proved to the waitress that he was from the future, but in one intense blink ended up back in Japan. He makes it back to the diner in present time realizing he could not change her fate. We discover Niki is a recoving alcoholic who's sister Jessica died in 1987. Her estranged father appeared at one of her AA meetings to try to make amends. She and D.L. invited him to dinner; he gave Micah an expensive laptop that the boy proceeded to take apart. Grandpa goes ballistic and we find that papa was abusive and Jessica is Niki's dominant "other half." We learn that Matt, the policeman, failed his test again because he is dyslexic. Mohindar's father Chandra comes to the US to find the "heroes." The first one he meets is Gabriel, a watchmaker who is very bored with his life. He wants to be different, special. Chandra gives him his book to read and get back to him. Chandra explains that all things are controled by the brain. He runs alot of tests on him to find that at the moment, Gabriel shows no sign of any powers. Gabriel gets angry and as he's leaving, steals a post-it with the name of another "hero." He calls this man to meet him at his shop. When Brian arrives, Gabriel introduces himself as Sylar (the name on a watch). The man has telekinetic powers but doesn't want them. Gabriel decides the whole problem is that the "heroes" brains are broken and must be fixed so he kills him. When Gabriel returns to Chandra, he displays telekinetic powers. We do not see how he got Brian's power. Chandra has called Claire's father and told him that Claire is special. Claire becomes a cheerleader. During a fight with Jackie, she falls and cuts her hand badly. Later her father asks about her hand and she tells him it doesn't hurt anymore. When she unwraps it, it has healed completely. Peter is celebrating his graduation from nursing school with a party. Nathan tells Peter that he has been asked to prosecute Linderman. They discuss that taking down Linderman will also hurt their father. As Nathan and his wife are on their way home, they are rammed by someone in a SUV. Nathan "levitates" out of the car leaving it driverless and it crashes. His wife is left severely injuured. Peter sees this in a dream, so Nathan can't hide what really happened from him. The woman who helped Monhindar when he came to the US first appears in a car stopped by Matt. With her mind, she can tell other's what to do. She "hypnotizes" him to go eat doughnuts...not give her a ticket. We see her taken by Mr. Bennett who is not susceptible to her power. At the end of the show as Peter is ready to go give a deposition, Nathan is at the door to tell him that their father died of a heart attack that morning.

In tonight's episode of heroes we got to see everything that took place 6 months ago. From Hiroshima's teleportation back to the past to save that nice chick at the dinner who suddenly learned at supernatural velocity. To the truth about Nicky's dual personality. Six months in the past she was an ex-alcoholic and met with her father, whom she never really got to know. She visits her late sister, Jessica's, tomb. Yeah she died like in 1987 or something. As the episode unravels we learn that her dad was sorry for the things he did in the past and he asked her to forgive him. The thing is he used to abuse her and throw bottles at her. Jessica lives within Nicky. We also learn who Cyler really is. How the police guy had dislexia, and how the girl that works with Claire's father could hypnotize people at will.
