It could be that the catalytic converter is clogged. They need to be changed about every 100,000 miles or so. Exhaust passes throught the converter, and the converter filters it and keeps some of it from escaping to the air. After a while, it gets clogged up. So if could be that your exhaust pipe (converter) is clogged, and your car won't go because of it. You have all the symptoms.

Sounds like the catalytic converter. My buddys Impala had the same problem and it turned out it was a catalytic converter recall. I would get it checked out.

Possible catalytic converter loosen exhaust pipe at manifold and see if problem goes away.

Kinda sounds like water in your gas tank. Try some gas-line antifreeze.

fuel filter may be clogged,if you are flooring it and you can hear allot of air being sucked in ,i would change it.
