I'm 16 and I have a long distance relationship with my boyfriend. Yesterday I got offerd a job that pays $400 a week for over the school holidays(not w-e work & I get half a week off). It goes for the next 8 weeks. However, for most of this time I am supposed to be seeing my bf. Therefore he doesnt want me to take the job. What should I do?

Tell him fine, you will not take the job, if he can give you the money up front that you are going to be giving up. Just my opinion, I would take the money and he would either understand or oh well. You are 16, there will be plenty more boys in the future. Take the money girl. The job experience and the money, and forget the boyfriend. If he is that selfish. Good luck and God bless****

The key word in your post is boyfriend. Not husband. You are 16 when ever are you going to make $400 a week, even if only for a short time. There are adults who are unable to bring that amount home. 400 time 8 is 3200, you could buy yourself a car for crying out loud. Don't be a fool. You have time off to see him, why pass up an opportunity like that (provided it is safe) to sit on your *** with your boyfriend?

If you need this $$$ for you or your family, take it... unless he is willing to provide you with the same amount of money you'd be earning in that job...
You are still so young and need to realize that the only person who can respect, care and trust is yourself... at the end of your lifetime, you'll be the only person there, so follow your heart... and not your boyfriend's.
I dont know your situation, but if you and your family need that $$$$, take the job, and do something helpful ;). PS why dont you tell him, to get a job, that way you both have $$$ for future dates

y dont u arrange with your bf to see him during your half week off. promise to spend the whole day with him and try your best not to break your promise. if that doesnt work then u can try to find a job closer to him or arrange that he gets a job in the same place aswell r that he can be somewhere near u during that time.

talk to him if you really need the money than make a comprise with him . but what is important money or your lover ? if he is a good guy than don't take the job you have the rest of your life to work trust me ! but on the other hand if you need the money make him a deal that you will spend time later . or something hope that this helps !
