also known as Positraction.

LSD = limited slip differential
I remember about a car that has that. Honda Prelude Type SH. It is a front wheel drive with a LSD on it.

It only works when you turn the wheel, turning to the left and turning to the right.

Lets imagine a string tied to a ball. You swing it around like making the circle. The longer the string, the slower the rotation. The shorter the string, the faster the rotation.

Same thing on the front wheel drive (FWD). The inner wheel turns faster while the outer wheel turns slower. That is normal. With the LSD, the inner wheel turns while the outer wheel turns faster, increasing traction.

How do you install on a 03 eclipse GT? I have no idea. I have never heard a transmission swap, stock vs LSD. In my opinion, It has to be built in when you bought the car. Front wheel drive (FWD) LSD is located in the transmission and you need electronics connected to it. On the rear wheel drive (RWD), it is located on the axle itself, but not all have that because on the RWD, that is called simply a differential.

Limited Slip Differantial... a convential differantial allows one wheel to rotate less then the other to avoid wear of the tire because the inside wheel travels a less distance then the outside wheel in a turn...the downfall to convential diffs is that it delivers power to the wheel with less traction causing that wheel to "slip" which is not good for race or off roading... it is located in the rear axle on rear wheel drive cars or in the transaxle (transmission) on a front wheel drive... in ur case u have a front wheel drive... to install u must remove ur transaxle (transmission)... installation depends on LSD system Clutch, Viscous, or solid diff... clutch lsd uses friction to transfer power to the wheel with more traction... viscous uses hydrolic pressure to do the same... a solid diff. is a poor mans lsd which involves welding the diff gears steady eliminating transfer altogether (good for drag racing but not for road racing or any racing involving turns)... i recommend a shop for installation not a beginner upgrade

Limited Slip Differential is correct as listed above.

OR...

You can travel back in time to the late 1960's, get a tab of LSD25 and have at it...

But don't try this at home alone.
