authentic is the same thing the pros wear replica looks like the real thing but have minor differences like the NFl logo on the V neck or the stripes on the side will be ironed on istead of stitched the name on the back will look stitched but it is not the authentic is stitched and the authentic is a lot more expensive

Well the authentic is the actuall thing but a replica is just a copy of it and isnt worth as much. Not many people can tell the difference and it would be a lot cheaper for the replica. Nobody would know.

"Authentic" jerseys are made by specific manufacturers who have contracted with the NFL to sell the jerseys. The NFL "guarentees" the quality of the jersey and in exchange, the manufacturer pays a LOT of money for the rights.
Replica jerseys are not made with NFL permission and are not guarenteed by anyone.
Generally, authentic jerseys for all sports are better quality, but some replicas from good stores are just as good and a lot cheaper.

Replicas are the same but with cheaper material and the numbers are printed on.
Replicas are fine. In your case, you might want an authenic one. If you have a collection of uniforms I would stick with replicas.

it's just the money and the tag that says authentic. some replicas are really bad but for the most part you can find a good one.
