I am really hating some of the confusion. No D&D, I have three GF's, WE ARE NOT ALL EVIL, we dont shave our teeth and where you heard that I have no clue. Crosses have no effect on us. No garlic has no effect. Capes are cool, but they are too much for every day, maybe halloween. You cannot force a person to believe but to doubt , you live in a world where you believe what is proven.
You give proof that you haven't met a real one(and I emphasize real). I want proof that anything exists. Just because you see something infront of you, does that make it true? Couldn't it be a dream, and couldn't you do anything in the dream, So why not try?
"Ignorence never settles a question"
"The mind is like a fertile ground where seeds are continually being planted" (Alister Crowley) If you salt the earth with disbeliefe then the world becomes unable to grow. By sowing incapabilities instead of possibilities, you not only kill dreams and hopes, but you kill the chances of opening the world to all problems. You train the mind to know that vamps don't exist, you then train it that aliens dont exist, you then train it that the say one type of music is better than another... That doesn't make it right.

Vampires do not exist, at least not in the sense of Bram Stoker's Dracula. There are diseases that do make one sensitive to sunlight (e.g. porphyria), and there are certain mental disorders that may make one bite others and attempt to drink blood.
However, the dead do not rise from their graves to prey upon the living. If vampires existed as in the various literature and films, within a few years, the world would be completely overrun, as the population of said creatures would increase exponentially. So the existence of vampires is impossible mathematically as well as scientifically.
However, groups of people who are fascinated with vampires do claim that they can absorb psychic auras, and other nonsense. There have been cases of murderers who have drank the blood of their victims. However, that does not make them vampires.

Not in the classic physical sense. There are people that can be referred to as vampires, because they use others, but not true blood drinking, burning in the sunlight vampire from Anne Rice novels.

I don't believe that there are vampires in the sense that there are creatures that suck your blood, you die and become one yourself.
do believe that there are people who use others until they have there is nothing left to take. I call these people "vampires".

there are vampires, however, they are not the same as fiction would have you believe. Today's vampres hang arounf the goth scene & are people with a "blood fetish" - they call themselves "Sanguinarians" . here's a linkhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/vampire_lifestyle
