I am 20wks pregnant and my nipples and areola area has started to become itchy over the last... about week i guess.

I moisturise with coca butter and use vitamin e oil (this helped with my itchy stomach!) but its to no avail.

Anyone else ever experienced this? any words of wisdom?

Thanks

1) it was fun - maybe one day you will experience the pleasure of being with someone instead of having to do it all alone

2) I'm sure you hear this alot - thanks for the offer but i'd rather you DIDN'T touch me or come anywhere near me

3) I do shower twice daily - perhaps you should try it? Personal hygiene will do wonders for your quest to experience s*x with another person

4) i don't need to ... i have a willing partner that will give me the enjoyment of s*x without having to do it on my own... i know - don't you wish that would happen to you one day?

And as an added bonus - you're a moron. But thanks for taking the time to show your ignorance to the Yahoo Answers community!

Have a nice day :)

I'm having the same problem at 33 wks. It has been going on for months now. I know I shouldn't but I scratch like a mad man. I use shea butter. It works better than coco butter to me.
I have been bothered so badly I have decided to ask my OB/GYN for something that would help. If I find out something different I will let you know.

its possible that you are showering too much.it dries you out and nipples become very sensitive when you are pregnant.i know i take baths like crazy and my nipples were itching like crazy.its not as bad now but at one point i thought i would go crazy if it didnt stop.lotion might actually make it worse so be careful what kind you are using.my suggestion would be to ask your doc what would be best to put on them.they make a lotion for breastfeeding that is specifically made for nipples that are cracked and dry.that might help.good luck!!!

Try 'Lansinoh for breastfeeding mothers'. It's a purple bottle of lotion that helps cracked, dry skin. It really soothes, heals and protects. It helped me!

Did you try buying some breastfeeding lotion? Cocoa butter worked fine for me, but that would be my next step.

Cool compresses - they are itchy because they are getting busy with blood flow and all.
