To write any equation in "function form", just solve for y (get y by itself on one side of the =), and replace y with f(x).

I'll let you do that. :)

First you positioned Y via itself via including the reciprocal of -5x. undergo in concepts what you do to a minimum of one part you do to the different. Then curiously like this. 2y=5x-4. Now you divide why via 2 or mutiply via reciprocal that's one million/2. Then the issue sounds like this. y=5/2x-2. that your answer. it maximum be in this format Y=m(x)+B

"Function form" is the form f(x) = ("equation"), where f(x) can be thought of as the "y" variable. Therefore, we want to solve the equation for y.
5x - 2y = 4 --- Subtract 5x from both sides...
-2y = -5x + 4 --- Divide both sides by -2...
y = (5/2)x - 2

Now in function form:
f(x) = (5/2)x -2

You want "y" on one side, and the rest on the other side.

add "2y" to both sides.
subtract 4 from both sides
divide each side by 2.
You end up with 2.5x-2=y
write it down the other way: y=2.5x-2
(maybe you should write y = 2 1/2x -2)

5x-2y = 4
im guessing you want it like this

5x-4=2y
5/2x - 2 = y
f(x) = 5/2x -2

5x-2y=4
-2y=-5x+4
y=5/2x-2
