Tommorow my husband will be out of town for most of the day and now that my friend Jessica as living with me, I am able to finish cleaning the house and other household chores very quickly. My grandfather gave me a movie this past weekend called "march of the penguins". It looks so cute!! Its a movie about penguins and I just love animals. Unfortunately, my dad took back the baby sheep that were staying in our back yard and my grandfather took his german sheperd home with him so I don't have any animals to play with, but I think this movie will be a good substitute :) Unfortunately, my husband only allows me to turn on the tv and says that I cannot touch any of his other electronics. :( He is worried I will mess them up but when my cousin was down he showed me how to play a dvd and I just know I could wouldn't mess anything up if my husband would let me. Ladies, in the past was there anything you did to convince your husband to let you use the electronics? Maybe make a nice meal

I am willing to plead with him but I don't want to sound like a whiny brat or else I will get in trouble. Also, to the men, is there anything your wife could do to get you to let her use the electronics? Thanks for any help!! :)

Okay, everyone, please stop telling me to leave my husband. That is so unrealistic. I love my husband so much that I would never want to leave him, plus he makes me feel protected and cherished. Besides, my father told me that women do not have the right to divorce, only the man does. He says if women do it, it doesn't count. It doesn't matter anyway though because my husband is wonderful *sigh* and I know he would never want to put my away with a divorce certificate.

If your husband loves you so much but you aren't allowed to touch his things then he should provide you with your own (since he obviously controls every aspect of your life). Even my 2 year old can put a DVD in the player and press play, and use the remote. If he will not accommodate your desires then he really isn't taking care of you is he?

We are in the century now where women can make up their own minds. My husband would be out the door and he'd be wearing his DVD player if he ever thought for one minute he was gonna tell me what I could and couldn't do. Life is too short, watch the stinkin movie and blah to him.

Angel please tell me your not asking permission to use a dvd player from your husband because hun if you are that afraid of him for that what else do you have to ask to use ... I was in a abusive marrage and this sounds pretty bad. you are marred everything in the home should be both of your's, sure there are a few special things you respectfully need to ask how to use if its there's but all and all you should not have to ask to use this item. marrage is a partnership!! and he should be your best friend, not a father figure...

As a general rule, you should ask him to show you how to use the dvd player correctly. Maybe then he will be willing to let you use it. Or you can do like my wife did, she went out and bought her own!
