yes it is her period, because it is just starting she is not getting much of a discharge, but she or you should inform your dad, he has no freaking idea, he's a man. if it was up to him she would never have a period, and he would be able to keep her as his baby forever. She needs help getting some sanitary napkins before the day that it really comes down heavy and makes her embrassed for the rest of her life.

Well, period discharge usually doesn't look like poo, it can be brown, but it's more transluscent and gooey and jiggly, kinds like jello. There is a definite distinction between poo and period. Just wait a few days, if she has discharge and it is from her period, then she should start bleeding soon, otherwise....go see a doc.

It is the start of a period. It's normal. Sometime's you'll get smears like that in-between periods, too. It's not poo. It's just a little blood mixed with mucus.

Sounds like an anal leakage issue--if it was her period, she would "know" it was her period, even if it wasn't blood red (women's intuition). Is there an aunt, friend's mom, school nurse, school counselor, teacher or someone else trusted she can talk to if your mom isn't available? Sounds like you are both at an age where you need a woman around you can trust to talk to about women things. I wish the best for both of you.....

this sounds like she has a problem with her bowls ,tell her to drink more water and try some thing with lots of fibre and fruit ,she may have a problem with the opening of her bowl and it may be coming out with out her knowing ,if she eats more fibre and gets it all working ,it will improve ,all so is she scared to use toilets when she is out ? sometimes holding on can cause this.

It could be her period. Many people will say it is supposed to be red like blood, but not always. Everyone's body reacts differently. It may be her period. If she isn't sure, she can call a doctor and ask.

If this discharge is constantly brown, I would encourage her to see a doctor to make sure things are okay. I have the same problem sometimes. Maybe there's something in her diet that is causing it. Ask her to please have it checked.

If she is sexually active(which happens earlier and earlier these days), then she could have an STD, or it could be one of the many common vaginal infections that women get, she should to see a gynocologist, if it is an STD and goes untreated, she is at a greater risk of being infertile if she wants to have kids someday...But most likely she is starting her period which means she should see the doctor anyway

Sometimes periods come as thick, brown discharge (it's actually clotted blood). That's probably what your sister has.
