ladies! or guys..ive been with my man for almost 4 years. do you think thats a long time to date? my friend was with her man for 7 years before marrying...i feel like we wont get engaged for along *** time but, why do we wait so long?? i know money issues but...thoughts??

Whatever the issues are, take your time. Don't let yourself fall into the trap of feeling pressured to get married quickly.

marriage is a huge step- not something you rush into. if it's bothering you that you aren't moving towards marriage, talk about it with him- just know that he, like a lot of men, probably has the "if its not broke dont fix it" attitude and thinks as long as things are working good now, why even bother..

In my book, 3 years together is long enough. If you don't think he will ever make a committment, you have to decide what you want to do.
