BB in back under skin. I have a small rock under my skin in my right arm for the past 30 years. Occasionally it comes closer to the surface.. (is more predomiant) as being there. Other than that it has never caused me a problem with pain or any other type of moving.
Since yours is a metal BB I would have a doctor look at this. Don't know if the metal would cause some sort of damage after being there a long period. To be on the safe side I would have it taken out. Your daughter would probably feel much better just knowing it's no longer there. Good Luck!!!

Ok you need to get that thing out of there. If it is just under the skin and not near and organs or the spinal cord then a simple in office procedure using a numbing shot as anethesia and a small cut can take out the bb easily. But YES bb's are made of copper and you don't need a large amount of copper in the blood stream. If she has not had a problem yet then great but Get that thing out asap. Go see the doctor.

if it has been there that long and hasnt caused her problems I see no reason to worry about it. Lots of people have foreign objects like that inside their bodies and are not affected by them, nor does it cause any problems. Ask the doctor to be sure. I have a pencil tip embedded in my hand from when I was in 2nd grade, and I am just fine
