We get ours the first weekend in December usually. Love fresh green pine trees....they smell so good!
***Please forgive me but I have to respond to Mr Plastic tree.....The trees that we use in our homes are not that old. They have to be thinned out for fire control eventually. It's just silly to not get a fresh one for those reasons. Merry Christmas.

Since I am allergic to cedar and pines aren't full enough to make a pretty christmas tree, I use an artificial natural green tree and put it up around the 15th of December. All Christmas decorations are taken down and are back in storage by New Years Eve- I don't like to take this years mess into the new year. Besides once Christmas is over who wants to keep looking at it.

I bought a plastic tree some years back and reuse it.. its enviromentally correct and this includes not killing a tree for a few days use... think about how old the tree you are killing is vs the few days of the season... also remember that trees make o2 and clean the air.

Honestly, I always steal my CHRISTMAS trees. I figure it's the true meaning of CHRISTMAS.
