Well, the perimeter is twice the width plus twice the length. The width is half the length, so twice the width is the same as the length. That means the perimeter is twice the length plus the length, or three times the length. B.

If the width is half the length, then you could also say that the length is twice as large as the width.
One width, plus two widths (the length), makes three widths (equalling width+length).
You have to multiply by two, because you have four sides (and so far you covered only two): The total is six widths.
You know one length is two widths, so the perimeter is (6/2=)3 lengths.
Try this with real numbers.
Length=2, thus width=1
Perimeter = 2+1+2+1 = 6.
6 is three times the length (2).

Convert W to L, so that W now becomes 1/2L or 0.5L since the width of the rectangle is half its length .
Therefore P=2(L+1/2L) or 2L + 1L
=3L
Answer is 3

if the width is x, then the perimeter would be 2x + 2(2x) = 6x. Since the length would be 2x, then 6x/2x is 3.

p=2(l+w)
Replace w with l/2.
Thus you get
p=2(l+l/2)
p=3l
Hence the answer is 3.
