I was exactly like you. I have so many regrets that I just didnt say and do what the teachers expected. I regret not gaining as many qualifications as I possibly could. I believe in exactly what you believe in, but he sad fact is, you need education, you need qualifications these days to go anywhere. You would be a wonderful philosipher, but you need qualifications and education to become one. As much as you dont believe in all this bs, its this bs that controls the world and if you want to become successful you have to "play the game". I learnt that when I went to University. Depending on the Lecturer and what his/her beliefs were determined the mark you would get. Its all crap, but we need that crap if we are even in the running to make any changes in the world. No-one is going to listen to someone without an education, without the qualifications....its the way we have been conditioned, and if you want to make changes in this world you have to achieve, you have to gain the qualifications that will take you to the places to enable you to make changes. You get what I mean? Play the Game, get whatever qualifications, education you need, once you get them, you can decide to forget it and just do things your way...but you need the qualifications first in order to get you to that position. Play the Game, then you will be in a better position to make changes. We need more people like you in power....dont let your intelligence go to waste.

I'll spare you the nagging of your grammar and spelling..
I'm also the same way, I'm always on this Yahoo Answers answering question and never being able to finish my homework and sleep early. But I'm also very intelligent however this behavior from the lack of sleep making me "emo" or depressed and making me VERY angry, so I always get in trouble by saying all sorts of bad words in front of teachers and not responding very well to authority..
But enough about me, I think education is very important, you learn and you survive.. It's not about the money or the riches you receive from education, its the success as a man and the power to use that knowledge to survive in this world.
Doctors use their knowledge to save others and them selves, people take science class and find out that there are all sorts of plants to cure them selves if they get stuck in the woods, or which chemicals reacts to other chemicals...
So the money and the happiness is just the bonus of education, the main point of education is to give you knowledge to help to survive and make wise decisions. Our society values wise choices, and productive choices, and education will help you make those choices.. Look at the ghetto places (no offense) where people are going around playing with guns and forming gangs, those guys basically didn't have the education like you're having now and didn't make wise choices, now look what happened to them.
Stay in school, after you can be what ever you want to be. Just be educated.. You can have a college degree in physics and join the Marine Corps or live in the wild, either way at least you know the way this world works.

You do not even want to see the answers that were given on this forum because you think you know or afraid of what everybody would say.
All good ideas are worthless unless recorded and shared with other people.
You want to be free like me and Bobby Magee "freedom's just another word, for nothing left to lose". even at the end of that song they realized they needed something more than nothing.
School doesn't last for very long in your life, and this is the only chance you can have at it. you best use it.
How is it a waste of your time? playing video games is a waste of your time!
I loved school because you would get rewards daily for completing your assignments, for doing well on tests, once you get out into the workaday world, you get far fewer awards for thinking. Home work maybe just practice, meaningless now. If you applied some of your values in it you may find it fun.

You are very intelligent and you need to be challenged to get up to where you need to be. You dont need to just stay in the same place talk to your teachers are go to the education dept in your city. also get tested for add are adhd I have that and i was similiar to you but the right doctor can help you with everything you need. then you can explore other parts of the world and whats out there its pretty big you have alot to still learn good luck.

Not everybody sees success in wealth. A lot of people hold family and personal dreams above wealth. As long as your happy, you can be successful. As for your study habits, it will help you in the long run. I was in the same boat as you feeling that homework was breeze and school feeling like a waste of time. My study habits were horrible and as i got deeper into college and work, it started to become evident and quality of my work wasn't up to par.

Maybe you have a form of dyslexia. I have it and can relate to your frustration. I'm also 40 and have learned to adapt to function in the world pretty well. You have to pick your battles in life and sometimes it is just easier to adapt to the way the world does things, even if it doesn't work that way with your own brain organization.

Friend - You need some help with expressing and communicating your ideas effectively in writing. I am guessing English may be your second language, but your spelling is very poor as is your punctuation and grammar. It will do you, nor the world, any good to be intelligent if you are not able to communicate your thoughts and ideas to them. GB

I disagree with you 100%, I have noticed that many inteligent people feel they are better than others and proceeded to bait and insult people just because they can......I think it has more to do with arrogence than intelligence...

Why not stay in school long enough to learn how to use spell check. Bad spelling looks like a fool writes it.
