Is cutting war funding the best way to drive the point that America wants the troops to come out of this disasterous occupation?

71 percent of the Iraqis want the US out...61 percent support attacks on US troops. .

Neoconservatives want to continue to spend billions per week and 1.3 TRILLION has already been spent when the American voters say the money could be spent on health, social security, job training and schooling at home.

Americans want congress to talk about a timetable for withdrawal but there's no word yet.

Should the new government show some backbone and oppose Bush's war immediately before more people die?

Yes the foreign troops can be withdrew and brought home with honour if the related foreign governments let the people of Iraq to determine their own fate after Sadam era democratically. The congress can cut the war funding if the majority of its members wanting this fund for the prosperity of the American people.A weak people can not be suppressed cruelly like an ant if trampled down or crushed down he will bite.It is better for American people if the fund could be used for health, training and education and for decreasing unemployment than for killing innocent people of other countries.

Hmmmm... are you severe?!... We destroyed the government of Iraq and with the aid of international regulation we won't be able to bypass away till there's a central authority in place to guard the human beings... the actual situation is.. that a brilliant style of the human beings interior the country are of one faith that would not understand the rights of something of the human beings and visa versa... so this is not undemanding to establish a democratic government... as a results of this, it is going to take us approximately 2 generations to alter the attitude of the human beings there with the intention to nicely known that human beings of all faiths have particular rights, not in basic terms those of the governing faith... 2 generations.. or approximately 40 years of toiling interior the wasteland... If congress cuts the investment and forces our troops out then the government will cave in and a few style of vicious dictatorship will take over and there will be chaos for a time.. many harmless lives lost.. many ability struggles.. and probably the faiths with the less numbers would be eradicated... so, confident.. this could be political suicide for people who vote for it.

To an extent we should, but let us not forget that their are troops over their and that they need the best supplies in order to survive. The best way to cut spending would be to slowly withdrawal, therefore reducing the cost until we have successfully gotten out if Iraq, but this also poses several problems. If only we had not gotten into this mess!

If the Dems cut funding, that will cause more troops to die, then I would hope those troops come back and wipe out all the Dems in congress. Maybe that is what we need, a Starship Troopers takeover.

Service guarantees citizenship. Wanna vote, gotta serve, wanna go to college, gotta serve, want a permit to have a rugrat, gotta serve. I think that would be sweet.

I don't believe that the democrats will cut any funding to the troops currently serving in any war (Afghanistan, Iraq) nor do I believe that they will try to pull our troops out entirely, I believe that they just understand that as American's we do not "Rule the World" and therefore we can not impose our beliefs on any other country and their culture. I also believe that they (the Democrats) will protect us as best they can in and from our own homeland, not send our son's, daughter's, & our nations future generation to fight and die for a cause, we in our society just don't understand. Thanks to all the soldiers who have fallen and the one's who are fighting for whatever it is WE are fighting for?

Oh Damn, maybe if 9-11 had never happened we wouldn't feel the need to retaliate against the terrorists responsible. As for Iraq, can any of you honestly say that getting rid of a dictator responsible for the murder of tens of thousands of his own people or giving the same freedoms we enjoy to the remaining people living there is a bad thing.

For those people who have never looked into a history book or just choose to ignore it. We did not attain our freedoms by ourselves, a total of 12,000 French and German soldiers died also to help us. Maybe its about time for us to return the favor to other nations who need the help.

Being in the military, I've seen what happens when cuts are made in the budget.

You have to do the same amount of work with less...that's not really fair to us who are asked to do difficult jobs. We should have all the tools presented to us to get our job done.

If cuts are made to the military budget, personnel cuts will be made too. Many of the people whom are in the military and want to continue their career would be forced out and then have to contend with doing something that's not paying anywhere near what they were getting when they were on active duty. In turn, they would have to rely on the government to support themselves and their family...do you really want people to rely on the government to survive?

I'm for bringing the troops home. It would be a disaster if the funds was stopped. We would loose more troops then what has already died

that is the best way to get the troops killed

plus those polls, how reliable are they? The ones in America are not even reliable, so what makes those reliable?
