Hi. An egg will float if the media it is submersed in has more density then the egg. For instance, if the egg sinks in pure water it will float if salt is added to the water, increasing its density. Try it.

well, i know that if you place an egg in plain water, it will sink...it's more dense than the water. if you place it in salt water, if will float because the salts molecules cause it to float because the egg is now less dense.

What about it? Be more specific please. I know that if an egg floats its not a good egg...i think...LOL...hope this helps.
