Anyone know any at home remedies or advice on how to help ease EXTREME cramps. I'm 21 and these cramps are KILLING ME! The doctor tried to give me pain pills but, I don't want them looking for a more natural way. Thanks

I used to get extreme cramps. One of the things that helped me besides heat was getting on all fours & having my hips remain raised & lowering my torso. I would move my head to the side, being inverted helped me a lot.

First, before and during your cycle you should stop drinking or eating anything with caffeine in it. Don't overdue it with your salt intake.
Try to drink more water. Eat more fruits and vegetables.

I used to have extreme cramps like you. That was until my doctor pointed out that the salt and the caffeine were the main cause of my cramps.
Also, constipation can cause cramps to be painful so you know what to do.....poop. Keep your bowels clear.

I hope that helps.

Try a heating pad on your pain. The muscle is contracting. Tensing and relaxing the muscle may help. My mother taught me this - take a thick book and place it just below your stomach, where it hurts. Tense and then relax the muscles. Also try drinking some calming tea.

heat on your lower abdominal area and (sounds weird) I've also heard that eating plain popcorn without salt and butter can help with cramps.
