Odessa is a very flat no tree terrain. (there are trees where there are houses but that is it) Desert environment. and a very dry hot. nothing compared to Houston. But Odessa is also pretty cool. I lived there many years than moved down to Corpus. I would rather live in Odessa though.

Odessa is an urban city, very little vegitation(trees, grass) mostly because of the heat durring the summer. Note that there is a strong oil scent in the air.

Odds are that if someone mentions B.F.E. they are talking about Odessa. There is very little to do out there and a long drive to either El Paso or Dallas.

Odessa (I was born in Midland) is a place where you can stand and see 50 miles in each direction. If you stand on a tuna fish can, you can see 150 miles in each direction. It's extremely dry and you WILL see dust devils and tumble weeds. We have a picture of a horny toad crawling up our back fence. It's nice weather and you don't have humidity...ever. I miss it....: (

I haven't been to Odessa, but I've been to Midland and it is FLAT and hardly any trees.
