Nice clear Indiana postmark - definitely keep this stamp on cover. My slightly-educated guess would be that it's Scott 210 from about 1883-7. On cover it only catalogues for about 70c, but with that lovely postmark, a collector of Indiana covers might well go a lot higher.

But Scott 210 is red-brown, and yours looks bright red in the scan. I have never seen this stamp in such a color, so I am perplexed. It could have been chemically altered or maybe the color in the scan is not the color of the stamp. I just don't know. If it's really that color, post the scan in the Virtual Stamp Club (URL given in answers to your other questions). Maybe someone there will have some idea how it could be red instead of red-brown.

If it quite is unused, then that's properly worth precisely one cent - positioned it including 38 cents properly worth of alternative unused US postage to mail a letter. If it quite is used, then provide it to somebody who's beginning a stamp sequence. it may be the beginning up of a lifelong interest, wherein case it could be effective!
