Animal Crossing is the much better game if you want a complete simulation game experience. The game is very detailed, indepth, engrossing and has and insane amount of multiplayer and replay value. It's a very flexible game as you can play it for a few minutes a day, an hour a day, single player, multiplayer.... it's all up to you.
Nintendogs is also a very fun game but it's the kind of game you will likely only be playing for a few minutes a day a few times a week. It's one of the best on DS but I don't think it comes anywhere near to the level of Animal Crossing. It's a very simple, cute, fun, and straight to the point game, but certainly not very deeply engrossing.
As for The Sims 2, all I can say is those interested should go for the full version on PC.

Of those three, I own Animal Crossing and Nintendogs, so I can't speak for the Sims2 (although I own that on PC). Of those games, I would say Animal Crossing is the best. I got it when it came out last year and I have played it almost everyday. I still play it! Having new animals move in and the new holidays (while not as good as real holidays-they are still pretty cute) it's a fun game. I don't think I've ever played a game as long as Animal Crossing DS, so I'm going to have to vote for that as being the best.

Animal Crossing is only fun if you have access to DS Wi-Fi, or if you have a friend to play with. Nintendogs is fun, but you get tired of it after 3 months. Sims 2, I have no idea about, but the PC version is probably better.

I have all three games and they are all fun. Each has good and bad points. Nintendogs has a good variety of dogs that have their own personality, but can get boring. Sims 2 is fun but is stupid after you finish the game. I personally like Animal Crossing because there is so much to do and there are tons of different activites, but this game can get boring if you play it too long in one sitting. If you can,get them all!

Animal crossing is all about social interaction. So, yes. Very fun. Nintendogs is fun also, VERY FUN. Sims 2 sucks, tho. I have it, it sux.

I actually enjoy all of them but i think that sim2 is the most fun it really depends.

nitendogs is surprisingly fun, i could play w/ that thing for hours, animal crossing is ok too.
