video cables and video boards?

what is a video cable?.....and can a video board be put into a laptop without having to buy a new motherboard? yeah i know, i'm kinda confused :/ lol, i'm not a computer person. thanks! blessed be, Val

A video cable is the cable that runs from your monitor to the PC/Laptop.

As for your second question, No. It's one of the drawbacks of laptops. The video system it build onto the laptop's motherboard and cannot be changed. The only way to change it is to buy a better laptop.
