A whole lot of teams would have gone undefeated with their schedule.

The polls are in protecting with human subjective vote casting. In idea, they're meant to rank the 25 best communities in the rustic, from first to easily top. In practice, they have each and every made 'rules' as a lot as be sure the thanks to bypass communities up and the thanks to bypass them down (some immediately drop a team after a loss, no matter if that is an in intensity sport adversarial to the #a million team in the rustic - if you're not from now on #a million your self, then you fairly are *meant* to lose to them). yet so a approaches, they have in straight forward words dropped a million spot, to a team that is been blowing away very just about easily everyone they have performed, which include a accurate 10 team from their personal convention. Watch what occurs at the same time as the 'BCS' ratings commence. at the same time as they have the coaches & Harris polls as a huge weight on them, they actually have quite a few pc ratings that do get thrown into the blend. They *do* evaluate who they have performed, and are *required* to ignore margin of victory (Sagarin publishes 2 ratings, one which doesn't comprise the margin of victory that the Harris makes use of, and one which does which he considers the a approaches better precise kind). the biggest problem w/ massive time college activities (a lot worse in hoops than football): Unbalanced scheduling. at the same time as's the most suitable time a vehicle-BCS convention team's performed a good 6 abode/6 away time table? And in hoops, what percentage communities do the Boeheim kind and really play 12 out of 13 video games at abode earlier convention play begins?

no, give them credit for going undefeated but coming out of the WAC is not even close to coming out of the the big "power Conferences" They do deserve a BCS bowl, but not the National Championship game.
