They are following orders as always. Currently they are interceding in a violent civil war and power struggle in which 3,890 Iraqi civilians were massacred by competing factions in October of this year. Last week, six Iraqi men were dragged out of a building, dowsed with kerosine and burned alive. This was on the same day that 212 other Iraqi civilians were murdered across Iraq, and it didn't even make the front page. US soldiers cannot defend against so much bloodshed.
