When I was in primary school we were taught there were three "races" of humans. These were brown, yellow, and white.
Within those categories, people were then divided into ethnic groups.
There are physical differences, density of bones, extreme differences in hair structure, shape of eyes, and other physical differences.
We were taught these differences came about as a result of adapting to the climatic region they inhabited.
It was always a puzzlement to me that any of this was important. It always seemed what was important was how a person conducted himself within the human race.

Jews and Arabs both come from Abraham (the first Jew). Abraham had two sons - Isaac and Esau. From Isaac the Jewish people continued and from Esau, the Arab people were born. Jews and Arabs are semitic peoples and are not a race.

Jews can be from any race and have all different skin colors. Jews are a nation, people, civilization with history, language and culture, and as a people they have a religion called Judaism.

The problem is not public display of religion. The issue is whether or not Palestinians are able to compromise with Israel. The Palestinians do not want to share the land with Israel and have their own homeland. They want to destroy Israel and take over all the land.

The Jews who are warring against the Arabs are mostly of European descent. Their families have not lived in the Middle East for hundreds of years, possibly a thousand or more. People who are indiginous to the land mostly share the same racial mixtures. A Jew can be an Arab. Judeism is a religion and not a specific race. Jews can be Italian, Spanish, German, Russian, etc..

Don't be fooled in thinking all Arabs are tan. I know some whose skin is lighter than mine and I am really a paleface.

The problem is that Israel is a country formed by the UN in 1948. It was formed by taking away the land of the Palestinians, some of whom were Jewish, in order to give the European Jews a country of their own and have an ally against the Arab/Muslim states. The European Jews who went to Israel felt rightious about it because they used to control the land over 2.000 years ago and they wanted it back.

Jews and Arabs are not the same race. Although there has been a Jewish presence (albeit small at times) in Israel for the last 2000 years, the great majority of Jews now in Israel fled for Israel in the wake of anti-Semitic sentiment. The Arabs, which span roughly from Egypt (before which they are African) to Iran (where they become Persian) have also have a constant presence in the area that is today known as Israel, as well as in the occupied territories.

There are a great number of people in the area of Israel/Palestine who are of mixed heritage and as such there are at times great similarities in appearance.

Without a doubt, if religion were not a factor then there would be no conflict. If religion were not a factor then Israel would not exist in the form that it does today.

Aren't we all? No not everyone is the same tan skin color... the glimpses we get from our news media are just snips and do not represent anyone race. This struggle goes back to the beginning of time with these two very different cultures professing different religious viewpoints..

When you think about it there's really no such thing as race. There's no real genetic differences between races that would inable them to interbreed, we're all the same species...ethnicity is just a way to say what region you're from, genetically it doesn't mean a hill of beans.

They are both a Semitic people and are considered Caucasian.
(Skin color has nothing to do with race. That's more about bone structure and skull size.)
