I don't think prettier is the right word. But it is great for your skin and will help improve it.
Exfoliation helps the skin "slough" away dead and dull skin cells, leaving a smoother skin. Your skin will glow and pores will be smaller. Exfoliation also helps prevent pimples and acne, since dead skin, dirt and sebum (skin oils) are eliminated from the skin surface and won't clog pores.
There are different types of exfoliation products you can use. Dermalogica has one product called Daily Microfoliant (a rice enzyme powder you mix with a little water) that is gentle enough to use daily. And it's for all skin-types. There are other products in Dermalogica's arsenal, like Skin Prep Scrub (grainy) and Gentle Cream Exfoliant (more like a creamy masque), that can be used once or twice a week.
Intense exfoliation includes microdermabrasion. Microderm can be expensive but well worth it, because it "solves" other problems, like it can minimize scars, minimize skin pores and gets a little deeper than just the first layers. Some skin care people recommend microderm once a month or every two months. I get a treatment about once or twice a season. Great improvement on skin tone and elasticity.
Whatever you choose, don't overdo it. Exfoliants, unless it's the Daily Microfoliant, are to be used only once or twice weekly. If you overdo it, you can aggravate your skin and cause more harm than good. Many people who have oily or acnaic skin think that the more they exfoliate, the better, but not true. They are just stripping their skin of hydration and could actually aggravate acne breakouts and cause more pimples!

Exfoliting with a gentle scrub no more than 3 times a week, gets rid of dead surface skin cells and helps stimultate skin cell turnover for a smoother, brighter complexion.
Exfolitating more than 3 times a week can irritate skin, make it appear red and blotchy and irritate acne.
If you have acne, do not use a scrub, instead opt for a cream exfoliant.
You can make your own face scrub with sugar or finely crushed sea salt and jojoba oil or pasturized honey. Use the homemade recipe BEFORE you cleanse, and rub it in small circles GENTLY, and then rinse off completely with facial cleanser and water.

the superb factor you're able to desire to get could be the two St. Ives Exfoliator or the Equate version from Walmart. bypass away the different stuff on my own. They even have the sleek dermis form with smaller grits. Its organic, in basic terms overwhelmed walnut shells. carry on with the instructions and use it for one million minute on the time. Works wonders! And its affordable!

Yes...Try Oil of Olay regenerist. It warms on your face and makes it softer. For me, it helped to even out the color of my skin. Good luck. You can find this at Target or Walmart. It's about 12 dollars...sounds expensive, but this product goes a long way.

Yes definitely! It gets rid of dead skin, revealing the skin below it, so your face is much softer & has a healthy glow to it.

yes, but make sure you don't do it more than once or twice a week, because exfoliating can irritate ur skin and make it very sensitive and break out a lot.
good luck!

Yes but don't do it more than say once a week, because you will do more harm than good to your face. It's always good to slough off the old and bring in the new. You'll really be glad you did it!
