first of all , find out why you keep spraining your ankle?
could it be , ur flat footed, weak arch as you say?,or from previous injury makes it weak?
if flat footed get an arch support,an ankle sleeve and wear sturdy shoes that has good back (ankle)support ,exrecise ur ankle evertors(muscles that make plantar surface of your foot to face outward).
dont do any exercise if in pain, for acute injury <48hrs apply ice pack elevate legs

You need to see your doctor ASAP. Meanwhile, elevate your ankle, and put an ice pack on it. This should reduce some of the swelling. It sounds like you have a really bad sprain, with torn tendons, or even a fracture.( An x-ray can confirm this.) If you have torn a tendon, this explains why you keep twisting your ankle. A trip to the E.R. would be suggested.

I am here to help... first and most importantly the foot is the hardest part of the body and ankle area to heal, besides the wrist. U need to go see your doctor and see an Orthopedic doctor. Your bone will grow back whatever shape it wants if you do not do this.... u need treatment. Soak your ankle in EPSOM SALT with hot water and keep it elevated. God bless!!

See a good orthopedic doctor. He will x-ray your ankle and foot to make sure no bones are broken. Then he will make decisions from what he sees on the x-rays. It may nee some surgery to repair tendons and such. You may need surgery to repair broken bones.

No doubt he will put some type of removable cast or brace on to keep your ankle from buckling and allowing it to heal. Good luck. Pops
